Welcome to
People’s united methodist church - Union Maine
We are delighted to have your presence at our church for worship and fellowship.
Our Church is
a strong faith family who genuinely loves all
At People’s United Methodist Church, our core mission is to radiate God’s boundless love as devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
This commitment extends far beyond our sanctuary, urging us to serve and warmly welcome all in His Name.
As disciples, we wholeheartedly embrace Jesus’s teachings, translating them into tangible expressions of God’s love through service.
Inclusivity is paramount; our church values and celebrates diversity, creating a welcoming sanctuary where everyone finds belonging.
Our welcome of all people has purposefully been extended to people with differing physical abilities. We have ramps at every entrance, a lift between floors, a wheelchair accessible bathroom, and loanable hearing devices.
Our collective journey is marked by a shared dedication to living out Christ’s teachings, fostering a space where faith, love, and service converge to leave a profound, lasting impact on lives.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
“Knitting, like drumming, is a feat of homegrown magic. ”
--Susan Gordon Lydon
In 1999, a church member's gift of a prayer shawl led to a ministry inspired by the divine feminine. Founded in 2005, the People’s United Methodist Church's Prayer Shawl Ministry in Union, Maine, knits shawls with purpose, embodying the trinities of life, time, and human existence, offering comfort and support.
